Who we are

Akash Prakash
Akash Prakash is the Fund Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Amansa Capital Pte. Ltd. Prior to establishing Amansa Capital in 2006, Akash was Director of Investments, India for Temasek Holdings - the investment vehicle of the Government of Singapore. During this time, Akash was responsible for co-ordinating all of Temasek’s public market and private equity investments in India. Before joining Temasek, Akash spent 6 years as a Portfolio Manager for GIC – The Government of Singapore Investment Corporation – where he managed US, Pan Asian and Indian investment portfolios. Akash also spent 6 years in the 1990s with Morgan Stanley where he was an Executive Director and Portfolio Manager of the Morgan Stanley Growth Fund, he also oversaw the India Investment Fund. Morgan Stanley one of India’s largest foreign investors during this period.

Akash has an MBA from IIM in Ahmedabad, India and a Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University. In 1999, he was ranked among the top 20 Fund Managers in Asia by Asia Money. In 2004, he was ranked amongst the top 3 by Indian corporates in Institutional Investor’s  “Best of Buy-Side” survey. He writes a fortnightly column for The Business Standard - one of India's leading financial newspapers.

Ambrish Sukhani
Ambrish Sukhani is an Investment Analyst at Amansa Capital, and joined the firm in April, 2008. Prior to joining Amansa, Ambrish was a Director at Temasek Holdings Advisors India Pvt Ltd , based in Mumbai. During the 4 years he spent at Temasek, Ambrish was responsible for identifying, executing and monitoring direct equity investments across public and private markets. In this role, he was involved in all aspects of the investment process including origination, valuation, due diligence, structuring and negotiation, as well as providing Board representation for some of Temasek’s investee companies in India.

Ambrish started his career in April 2001 with Merrill Lynch in India, where he was an associate with the Investment Banking / Mergers & Acquisition team. In this role, Ambrish worked on M&A advisory assignments and public/private equity offerings for a number of Indian companies.     

Ambrish is a CFA Charter holder and graduated with an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India in 2001. Ambrish obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1999 from St. Xavier’s College, University of Calcutta.

Krupesh Patel
Krupesh Patel is the Compliance and Chief Operating Officer and has oversight for all infrastructure functions, investor relationship management and new business development.

Krupesh has more than 12 years of Operations experience within the Investment banking industry. He began his career in London in 1993 and spent a year working in the Securities Custody business, before moving to JP Morgan in 1994 where he was initially supporting the European Fixed Income business, and then moved on to the Emerging Markets business where he managed the Sales and Trade Support within the External Debt Trading group.

In 1998, Krupesh joined Credit Suisse in London where he managed a number of teams within European Equity Operations, including Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending. He moved to Singapore in 2001, and has served as the head of Equity Operations for Non Japan Asia, and thereafter as Regional Head of Cash Securities Trade Support. His last role was to help establish a global Operations processing centre in Singapore. Krupesh left Credit Suisse as a Director of Operations and member of the Regional Operations Management team.

Krupesh graduated in 1993 with a Batchelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Northumbria (Newcastle Polytechnic) and the University of North Texas, USA.

Larry Lim
Larry joined Amansa Capital in February, 2008 and as Operations Manager, is responsible for all day to day Operations activity. Prior to joining Amansa Capital, Larry was an Operations Manager at Morgan Stanley in Singapore where he was supporting the Prime Brokerage business. Larry has 8 years of Operations experience within Investment Banking. In addition to Morgan Stanley, he has worked at Credit Suisse and Barclays Capital in a variety of Operations functions supporting business units across multiple asset classes.
